This anti doping theme got me thinking back to their fight and I thought of something I hadn't before.
I'm a GSP nuthugger so take it for what it's worth.
I think it's reasonable to look at the fight and score it so GSP won (1,3,5), but there's no question that Johny inflicted more damage. If you look at it as a street fight, Johny won.
BUT, if you're not counting points, than the fight doesn't end in 25 minutes.
Hendricks was the first guy ever to neutralize GSP's duck under power double. He staggered GSP a couple times when GSP ducked under a gang rush attack.
I think if that fight continues GSP starts to dominate. By using footwork to stay on the outside, not dropping down and exposing himself to big shots, using his cardio to slow Hendricks down.
If that fight kept going, I think GSP ends up beating him up.
