I've been saying I'd turn into a fan if he started embracing not being the guy he tried to portray himself to be. I was looking forward to seeing heel Jones, but he sucks at being the bad guy too. He just seems petty and childish, instead of bad-ass and not giving a fuck about what the fans think. He still obviously cares.

Oh, well. It's not going to change anything in the cage, where he works his true magic.

There will always be haters but I think he'd be less hated if stopped putting on the nice guy persona, insulting people, sticking his hands with his fingers extended in the face of his opponents and ect.

At this point my opinion on Jones is pretty firm, and he's a little too wishy-washy to change it.

He cares a lot. Mostly about his haters though.

NO!

Floyd is a pretty smart guy, so it works for him. He can play the role. Jones on the other hand is not very smart, so I am sure this would turn out even worse.

However, Jones is not to blame for this. You can not expect him to be both a great fighter and a PR genius (there are very few of these)... so it is his trainer/managers/the UFCs job to keep a potential superstar like Jones out of the media, and have him follow scripts.

He has had a bad start, but they should give him a mouthbasket as soon as possible to create the biggest superstar the UFC has ever seen.
