I definitely prefer Joe and Goldy over the Florian and Anik team, but that's not saying much. Personally, I'm able to block out Joes biased commentary and Goldys goofy play by play style (or laugh at his epic slip ups), but I would say that if you wanted to put together a very professional team, it wouldn't involve either of them.
I think when that team was put together, the UFC still had a major obsession with freak show fights, thought of their main competition as professional wrestling, and wanted commentators who could convey that sense of excitement, and were anything but boring. Now that they're in a different place, and MMA is taken a bit more seriously, perhaps its not the fit that it once was.
I like the fact that they've been changing up the commentators a bit, whether it's just scheduling conflicts or w/e, its interesting seeing guys like Stann get a shot, seeing Joe with Anik, etc. I wouldn't mind seeing Mir get into that mix, now that his career is winding down.
