Close fight=/= Robbery. Josh did ZERO damage. Ben landed some nice right hooks to the body , a couple of brutal knees, and some good leg kicks.
Well...it looks like the fight might have been scored on the strikes that were landed. But just as strikes need to be scored, so do other things. Even though he didn't "hurt" Bendo with strikes, Thomson had Bendo in some very bad situations, that could have ended a fight just as easily as any strike. That's why damage can't necessarily be a good indicator on who won the fight, although more times than not, it is. So, what I am getting at is that you have to look at more than strikes, I know that's captian obvious, but you didn't give any credit for other parts of the game.
I have no problems with the decision, it was a close fight, but if I was a judge I would have scored it for Thomson.
