He didn't land any significant GnP in that round, he was just fighting to maintain top position, because it's not easy to work GnP on Anderson. Anderson was defending well.
Chris Weidman is not Chael Sonnen. Chael is a grinder who was willing to get tagged by Anderson to attempt his TDs, and had the chin to pull this off. You are going to get hit hard when you fight Anderson, I don't think Chris can take it like Chael could.

Chael has been finished nearly a dozen times. In fact out of the all fighters the fighters who finished Sonnen, Anderson was the one who took the longest time and the highest amount of punches.
The problem is Chael is not Weidman. Chael is sloppy, Weidman is composed, Chael is pillow handed, Weidman has tough GnP, Chael is old, Chris is young, Chael doesn't have good bjj, Chris does, etc.
Anderson already said it, "i'm no fool" in regards of fighting Weidman.

Nope, Nate had no top wins when he faced Anderson. Neither did Lutter or Cote. This was during the time you claim the MW division was "solid".
Bisping became top 8 after beating 2 non ranked fighters and top 5 after a loss.
You're having a hard time trying to discredit a fighter with 2 top wins while hyping up far less proven people. Are you sure you want to keep this up?
