Everything she can do to make getting into the clinch safely and more efficiently allows her to better execute her game plan of takedown, advance position, arm bar.

So in this case, getting faster hands will allow her to better prevent her opponents from shrugging off clinch attempts. Good for her.

Really? Then why were so many people in love with JDS mitt hitting skills?
No, the fact is there are many mma-fighters who look pretty bad on the mitts.
Does that translate 100% to the fight? Obviously not, but it sure is an indication.
Her sparring is another indication. At any rate, she is obviously still learning, and it will be interesting to see. But it's doubtful it will go long enough for that. ;)
