This is actually one of the most annoying things about how UFC has handled the lower weights. Treat them like a big deal, people will eventually follow, but instead you get a lot of fights buried in the prelims compared to less meaningful higher weight fights without even the 'name' factor to lean on. As well as a significant lack of promotion by comparison.
How can you be treated like a big deal though when you're not even tall enough to ride roller coasters at theme parks? LOL

I'm not saying anything like they should be carried around in little suitcases in order to provide more space on public transport, but every little helps considering the current economic climate.
lol

In hindsight, the UFC will probably regret premiering their version of the Hobbit on the same weekend as Peter Jackson's.

Demetrious is not as popular as Bilbo.

Muggsy Bogues would wipe out the Midget Weight division.
For those who have never seen a 5'3" A Level athlete
Turn the volume up and hold on to your seats
You won't want to miss this...

Thank me later

The only reason I can think of as to why some guys find lighter weight classes to be boring is that their small stature does nothing to stimulate the comic-book hero power fantasies of beta males, nor the repressed sexual fantasies of closet homosexuals. Whether they realize it or not, some of these guys are stimulated emotionally by the sight of huge guys like Alistair Overeem, so when Joseph Benavidez fails to give them the same stimulation, they say he's a boring fighter, no matter how exciting his fights actually are. No visual stimulation = no emotional stimulation = boredom.

I like watching people perform various martial arts. I couldn't care less whether or not I felt like "I could beat that guy up." The people who think like that need to look at themselves and ask why it matters at all whether they feel they can beat up the person they are watching on TV or not. Reeks like insecurity to me. Does Fedor not watch MMA because he feels like he could beat everybody?

No, making a thread to point out Dana White's latest lie or self-contradiction is not going to hurt Zuffa. In fact, you're playing right into their hands.

is there someone here that isn't catching the reason why it's so high it's because its a new division with a low number of actual fights? Lets see how those %'s look a couple years from now.
with that being said I enjoy fights in general I don't care what weight they're at
but this a silly statistic imo

At n=30 you get a normal distribution therefore 35 fights is a large enough sample size
