I think you're rationalizing, let's be honest, the more common reason that anyone would need TRT in this sport would be steroid use. While it's perfectly reasonable to expect that head trauma could cause it, when someone is known to have used steroids I'm going to think those are the cause and not head trauma as you suggest.

Football players wear helmets, and NFL teams can only do tackling drills once a week now, because of the head trauma issue.
Also, the guys in the NFL make a lot more money than UFC fighters, and can afford better PEDs than TRT.
I agreed with you in the post of mine you quoted, I think the more common reason a fighter would need it would be because of prior PED use. There are guys who legitimately need it for medical purposes though, I don't like it that the guys who do get clumped in with the cheaters.
