I didn't see their first fight in Elite XC (all I know about it is there was some semi-brawl/"don't be scared homie" shenanigans with f'n pro-wrestler Goldberg playing the Rogan role). I did see their rematch in Strikeforce, and I remember it as 25 minutes of boxing and KJ playing with his hair. The point I'm trying to make is that this is a trilogy fight that would be a hard sell.

As far as KJ staying around 170lbs, obviously the choice is his, and I'm always in favor of guys not dehydrating themselves. That being said, as many on this thread have already pointed out, KJ would likely not succeed at welterweight when faced with an unfavorable match-up (a bigger wrestler). Were he to be matched up only with other strikers (Lawler, Condit, Kampmann, etc), it would be fun, but meaningless in terms of contendership.

You guys worry too much.

Karl James is unranked, and it's unlikely that he will ever reach that top echelon at 170 where the wrestlers-with-heavy-hands hang out at, but there are PLENTY of strikers in the Top 20 they could pair him with for fun fights. Fights that both you and I would enjoy.

Hell, I'd say about half of the Top 20 WW are faithful followers of the Just Bleed God. Think about it for a bit and you'll remember who they are.

Good fight for Nick if he decides to come back.

I agree with the "fuck a top 10 fight for Diaz" sentiment.

Why not he fought everyone at 155 and it became obvious that he can't hang with the top guys at LW so what does he have to lose
