His mental game is not enough. This just proves it even more after that fight where he basically fought his opponents strenghts with his weaknesses the whole time. He did just about every thing wrong you can do.

I remember seeing his impressive record before I first saw him fight in SF and being shocked at how average he looked. Very one-dimensional fighter whose only real strength was being tall and lanky. Good luck to him anyway.

I actually got to drill and roll with Quinn once when he visited the academy I used to train at and took part in the no-gi basics class. I was and still am a white belt, he is a black but I didn't know that because it was no-gi and I hadn't taken notice of him when we lined up at the beginning of class. He of course tooled me without even trying when we rolled but after tapping me a few times he started giving up positions just to let me work on things. Had I known he was a black I never would have asked him to roll but he was super cool and down to earth, didn't "big time" me at all. After noticing that he wasn't sure where to line up at the end of class (the instructor was a brown), I made a mental note to look him up online and it was only then that I found out he was 18-2 in MMA and fighting in Strikeforce. Anyway, he made a fan out of me and I wish him the best of luck in whatever he decides to do in the future.

Wait, you don't know Kikuno?

He looked horrible in UFC....Can't say I feel bad for him retiring...He was the most one-dimensional fighter I have seen in a long ass time.

Though he fell short in the end, his accomplishments in MMA are worthy of pride and admiration.

Farewell Quinn, and best wishes to you.
