Just a FYI for everyone that is giving him shit and saying he should retire….he's pulled out of 4 fights since 2009 and fought 6 times. Here are some others….pretty sure these are accurate.

Sakara has pulled out of 5 fights since 2009 due to injury
Koshcheck 4 times
Alves 4 times since 2010
Vitor 3x since 2010
Gonzaga 3x since 2011
TJ Grant 3x since 2011
Thiago Silva 4x since 2009
Anthony Pettis 3x since he's been in the UFC and 2 title fights this year.

Just a short list of a few guys that have been doing the same. Its a contact sport..people get injured. Some of those guys are younger then Rogerio obviously and have longer careers ahead, but for most fans its more an issue of not living up to the fight you signed. And most guys aside from Koscheck have fought just as much

And Rogerio is not a fighter that has had a lot of wear or taken much damage in his career. I understand if he was losing fights and his injuries were causing him to be less effective, then its time to go maybe. But after his injuries, he's had the best success in the UFC winning his last 2 fights.

Lets see how he looks when he comes back before the retirement talk.

with 'fans' like these, mma doesn't need enemies. seriously.

How many fights has Machida declined? Honest question. I can only think of two fights Machida has ever said no to, and those are the Jones fight on a month's notice after already having lost to Jones on short notice before and the Rashad fight when Davis pulled out which was around a month's notice as well.

Even then it's not like he just flat out said no. He asked for the Jones fight to be pushed back a couple weeks and he'd take it (there was another PPV a few weeks later and I think he was trying to get it on that card) and for the Rashad rematch that's where the whole "Anderson Silva money" bit came from since he asked for a pay bonus should he take the Rashad fight on such short notice, which is why the UFC didn't give him that fight. Both of those situations were easily explainable and reasonable on Machida's behalf so he shouldn't be getting any shit for them.

Supporting: Frank Mir, Lyoto Machida, Nick Diaz, Nate Diaz, BJ Penn, the Korean Zombie, and Ian McCall, as well as any huge underdogs in fights not involving the aforementioned fighters.
