I agree that Munouz is no striker, but what are you implying? That Mousasi is more well rounded? I would agree, but not by enough to matter. I think he is a not very good wrestler, though he has at least scored takedowns before. So If Machida doesnt need to fear being so offensive against munoz ( who is a good wrestler), why does he need to fear pressing Mousasi who is good stiker, but a lousy wrestler?

IMO, if Machida takes Mousasi down in the first round, and I bet he will, my argument will be right. Machida's custom weird mix of tools make him a handful and put the pressure on Mousasi to get the KO. The striking will be equal (despite Mousasi having better hands and head movement-Machida has the speed, timing, and better kicks) and Machida will score a TD per round. And that is why Vegas is right, IMO.

I just don't think Machida will apply that strategy quickly enough ( because of bravado or what eves), which could lose him the fight. I guess you could say Im implying that Machida is better at fighting grapplers then strikers, his style is suited to it where as strikers have the ability to pick him apart.

I still feel like this is a super close fight though..

Well, much lesser fighters like Jardine, Latifi and OSP have "survived" Mousasi, so I don't think a Mousasi finish is guaranteed...despite what his fan boys here say.

As a Machida fan, however, I'm just hoping he prepared for Mousasi's style. I know Lyoto is in great shape and that he trained hard. But did he prepare for Mousasi's boxing and "walk down" style...is he ready if Mousasi tries to mimic Shogun? If he gets behind on points, will he get too aggressive? Those are my biggest concerns.

Gegard knows the time to attack Machida is when Machida attacks you. It is all about timing, just like Shogun KO of Machida in the 2nd fight. He waited for Machida and he trades. If it is a trade, I'd take Gegard. Gegard will just wait for Machida's offense, time Machida and take one to give one.

They way to defeat Gegard is to outwrestle him the way Mo did. Stylistically, I think Gegard beats Machida, Machida beats Weidman, and Weidman beats Gegard.

Enjoy bro,Machida won.You were silly in your assessment that Mousasi would win but at least your boy Machida got the W.
