Ouch. Really? I bet the UFC brass hates putting him on a card.

Well, nothing they can do to stop injuries but there is things they can do to keep it from messing up cards. I just started a thread about this very thing. In brief, if champs are injured, move on quicker and have contenders ready to go to crown a new champ. The old champ gets an immediate title fight when he's able.

By far the biggest contingency they need to start using is giving fighters a heads up that they might be called upon to fill in if someone gets hurt. Either have them already fighting lower on the card or pay them to stay ready just in case.

The UFC has way too many guys under contract not to be ready to plug someone else in. Instead they'd rather blame the fighters, get someone who is out of shape and needs to cut 30lbs in a week or go out and find some guy working in a coffee shop.

I'm not sure whether the OP was meant to be as funny as it sounds but either way that's the funniest thing I've seen today.

True, but it's possibly many of them are simply training too hard, putting theor bodies through more than it's equipped to handle. I don't think a fighter has to overdo it in order to make improvements in their game.

Excellent post , too bad most posters won't understand the intricacies of details of undercurrents in your post.

translation for the shertards:
-average poster works @ mcdonalds
-average poster's life revolves around discussions surrounding fights and/or outside the cage drama
