Leben put up a great fight every time. He just fought a little too long, should have retired after that amazing finish against Akiyama or at least the blitz of Wand.

Leben was only allowed to stay around the UFC this long because Dana has a hard on for his early TUF competitors. Multiple drug infractions and middle of the road status doesn't help the sport or his own standing within it.

Calling someone a "winner" in this context is a clear indication that they are not.

He's a winner like your little cousin's tee ball team is filled with.
He's a winner like the competitor who comes in last place in the tournament is.

What the fuck's a Lommy?

My brother and I used to love watch Leben fight. The way he walked trough punches to, eventually, finish his opponent was highly entertaining to watch. For his personal health it probaly was not so good.

I wish him the best. One of the fighters that got me into following MMA and who I have always been excited to watch. Someone I can relate to.

Thanks Chris Leben! Best of luck to you! A winner for sure. To compete so many times in the octagon and to have such a high profile is a great achievment for sure.
