Machida excels at counter-striking. He's great against wrestlers and brawlers, but skilled strikers give him problems. He lost to Shogun and Jones, and probably should have lost the first Shogun fight as well. If Mousasi is fully recovered from his surgery, I do believe that the Moose will beat the Dragon.

Yes, Jacare and Machida aren't training partner.
Also both of them never said they wouldn't fight Anderson, Silva did.

Sort of.

I think Machida should beat Mousasi. He's too calm and doesn't pressure enough when he fights. He'll fight smart and try to cut off Machida when he circles, but he won't follow the Shogun blueprint and, thus, will lose. And I think Carmont could take away Jacare's momentum with a wrestlefuk display tonight.

It's too bad a lot of these are getting up there in age in the MW division: Vitor, Machida, Jacare, etc.

Whats really catching by surprise is the amount of posts Im reading about Mousasi and his hands. I always had him pegged as a grapple/ground and pound for a tko kind of guy.
Ive never actually looked at his fight finder to see how he got most of his wins.
If Mousasi wins this fight by anything but a decision, Ill be pleasantly surprised.
I see Machida getting the stoppage though.

As much as "murders row" is a term that Bugs me, it pretty much explains exactly what it means. The top guys in the div that will stop a guy.
Who at 170 other than Lawler and the Champ, is there will finish guys undoubtedly?

And way more importantly, new top level talent in the division. Weidman came back from injury, Mousasi and Jacare came from Strikeforce and Mousasi also dropping to MW. Machida moving to MW.
