If you want a UFC challenger, You would have to have a billionare willing to lose 50-100 million before ever turning a profit.

Not including PPV points they make what is reported by the commission. Anderson was at $600,000 base pay + ppv points. Weidman made $400,000 base + ppv points.

To make the sport more serious such as instituting top ten rankings which are used in determining who gets title shots, getting rid of trash talking or cutting it down to a bare minimum, and getting rid of any trendy, abrasive music used in their TV programs and instead using classical music. Replacing Tapout clothing with a more conservative, classy, and stylish brand of clothing

To make the sport as entertaining as possible by having the fighters cut more promos, hire former pro wrestling legends to coach their fighters on how to cut a good promo, create angles more often that would result in feuds and rivalries more than we see in The UFC, have entrances similar to how PRIDE had them with a big ramp and pyrotechnics going on as a fighter approached the ring - yes use a ring instead of a cage.

Which of these two directions do you think would result in a promotion being a bigger threat to The UFC?
None. Been tried and failed. But yes changing clothes and stopping trash talking are good ideas. OMFG. Realistically the only way to beat ufc is freakshow matches i.e. Steven Hawking vs a midget or fighters using weapons i.e. nunchakas, etc.

Both of your ideas have already happened bro. Both also failed because it takes a long time to get a stable of good fighters and money money money to get them out to the public.
