Nothing wrong with being knowledgeable about your hobby. But if your asking yourself this question. Then maybe deep down MMA isn't for you. Sounds like your losing interest, and MMA is turning into a chore. like it's a school project that you have to stay up all night studying facts for. If following MMA is no longer fun then stop. Other wise keeping learning about the sport you enjoy. I don't see what the problem is as long as it doesn't take up an obsessive amount of your time.
