To the people saying GSP went out 'on top': It's easy to go out on top when you don't have 30 fights to your name. Anderson could've went out 'on top' after Sonnen 2, but he had the courage (and love for fighting) to keep going. He suffered what every great fighter goes through.
To the people saying GSP fought better competition: BJ Penn was a LW that had only beaten one man at WW. Hardy, Alves, and Serra are not worldbeaters (unless you count Serra's freak win, but that's all he had to his name). Condit, Shields, Koscheck, and Diaz are no better than Henderson, Okami, Sonnen, Griffin, or Marquardt. Also, Fitch was no better than Maia. For fuck's sake, GSP and Anderson are tied for most top wins so how does the 'better competition' argument even make sense?
