The Rise and Fall of the Demolition Man: ReemRage
Irony?:
Big Foot’s story: He leaves ATT (American Top Team) to go to the Blackzillians because of money etc(after Big Foot’s win against Fedor in strikeforce the usual vultures trying to pull on Big Foot and make him outlandish promises), more money and sponsors were promised and Big Foot did not want to pay the percentages to his former trainers and former management anymore ( sounds familiar?). Then when Big Foot lost to Daniel Cormier and he does not feel comfortable with Blackzillians so he goes back to ATT. Even states after his KO of Overeem "at ATT I have real friends and it felt good again having ATT in my corner."
Overeem’s story, he was with GG for 12 years, who seemingly rebuilt his career and who most think did an amazing job. He then becomes a superstar and leaves for money percentages he does not want to payGG after their Management negotiate a great contract for him in the UFC (management also help avoid Big Foot in Strikeforce and replacing that fight in allowing the switch to UFC with the first fight in the UFC to come against Brock Lesnar).
When Alistair leaves GG and moves to the states with new management he gets into multiple law suites, pushes a woman in an elevator and has to settle the case for a lot of money (pushing this woman) to not get an assault case spoiling his American working visa. Gets in a law suit with Golden Glory. Overeem than tries to create his own team the Reem by contacting all his former GG team mates and asking them to join his team and talking trash about his management, trainers etc, knowing that K-1 did not pay many of the fighters at that time.
In essence he tried to tear apart the team, when times were tough. Then Alistair runs away from a random drug test in Vegas to later get caught ( 12-1 ratio) and gets a year suspension ( basically destroying everything GG build in previous years in less than 3 months) Alistair finally got viciously KO'd against Big Foot who is back with ATT...rather ironic?
Alistair also takes with him to his new Team which you can see in the latest Reem episode, Dion Starring a former GG fighter (who according GG was not ready yet to fight in the big league) the first fight in the states for Dion (on all forums people do not understand why this guy who no body know fights his first fight against Cormier?) is against Cromier and we all know that result (who managed that fight)?
Further alienating himself, Reem when not posing w Alligators and models would train with curtains blocking off the gym...back to the drawing boards...
Golden Glory story: they start Glory World Series and Bas Boon finds a great investor, Glory then buys Its Showtime, United Glory and Dream and signs contracts with all the former K-1 stars, just recently Glory launched the series Road to Glory with the first event being a big success in Tulsa!

fun read, although things are a little bit biased and oversimplified.

poor Reem. Hopefully he bounces back and wreck the UFC HW division. ReemNation will stand by The Reem.

I've been supporting Overeem all they way up to before this fight. His behavior up to this fight turned me off him though. I still hope he comes back strong because I like how he fights when he fights well. I have written before on how I thought him leaving GG was a mistake. Reem didn't want to pay GG their fees anymore and looked for a way out. GG invested a lot Overeem and when it came time to see the green of the effort Overeem was like "naa, you not getting anything".
I think the trust breach Overeem was talking about was probably that they used him as leverage in negotiating taking over K-1 and other business dealing they had going on at the time. You could say that was bad but Overeem just used as an excuse.
Overeem has alienated a lot of stand up people in the MMA community, Bas, Mirko, Wanderlei and not least the gentle giant BigFoot. You start to wonder about his character behind the scenes.
Anyway, still hope to see a strong Overeem in the furure.

From what I hear that is just a small list of those whom he has alienated. See how he comes out from under this embarassing defeat.
