sums it up pretty nicely. Also, that was Clementi in his prime and AJ just starrting out.

I seem to remember Rich said he would take the fight at catch weight as long as Rumble didn't weigh in over a certain amount on the day of the fight.

So he wasn't allowed to rehydrate.

Much like he had to do when he fought Vitor.

The man struggles to make 205 how he ever made 170 or was even medically allowed to do that to himself was insane.

If i remember correctly, on the bonus material of the dvd yfc event. Dana mentions he asked rich to take a fight at a higher weight. Rich agreed. Then AJ could not make 170 the dana asked rich if he couls taks the fight at a catch weight and rich agreed. I remember AJ gasing and rich out wrestled him.

AJ was fighting way out of his weight class and Clementi was a good fighter back in the day.

Anthony Johnson vs. Rich Clementi (Pictures)
Round 1
Johnson started by charging Clementi, but nothing landed. Clementi then landed a hard inside low kick that seemed to hurt his opponent. Johnson fired back with a one-two which crashed Clementi to the canvas. Clementi rallied and scored a single-leg takedown, but Johnson used a Kimura hold to reverse the position and eventually get back to his feet. 10-9 for Anthony Johnson.

Round 2
Johnson again attacked at the sound of the bell, in which Clementi countered by pulling guard. From here, Clementi wiggled his way to Johnson's back and secured a rear-naked choke at 3:05 of the the second round.

Rich was vastly underrated, especially at the time. Dude was an all around very good fighter.
