If Aldo Beats Pettis, Should he Move Up to LW & Take Pettis's LW Title Shot?

I think the Aldo/Pettis winner will move up to challenge the LW champ in a true champ vs champ superfight.

Thats teh plan, if Pettis gets teh FW title he moves up to fight possibly Bendo only this time its champ vs champ, Pettis could be the first to hold two titles at the same time, that adds to the hype of the fight.

Same with Aldo, if he beats Pettis he clearly proved he is worthy of a LW title shot and its the same thing, champ vs champ, chance to hold two titles. Of course if Pettis/Aldo did win the LW title they would vacate the FW title but they would hold the title going into the fight for two reasons.

Adds more to promotion having champ vs champ instead of vacating it before the fight, chance for a fighter to hold two titles at the same time which would be historic and if Aldo/pettis lost at LW they could fall back on still being the FW champ and go back down.

I'd say yes, he's been succesful enough to just go up and get a title shot, plus a win against pettis would show he can hold his own against LW's

Regardless of who wins between Aldo and Pettis, they should definitely fight Bendo next.

That would be the most epic champion vs. champion fight we've ever seen. It would also put some good light on the lower weight class champions, and make them look fearless. That's one of the best things in boxing about the lower weight class fighters is that they can move up or down a lot. I'd love to see that with champion vs. champion fights in the UFC.
