yeah, saw that. He talks about the forest vs the trees in another interview too. I think that's why he lost: he concentrates on the moment: living for the moment and the context will take care of the big picture. Sorta like "i'm too busy living to think about life"
That's why he has little strategy in his fights. He says his main goal is to punch the guys before they punch him. That's why he lunges in, takes a hit to land a hit. Just living for the moment of "I'm gonna punch you first". To win big fights you have to strategize all the time, redraw the plan even in mid fight. Constantly thinking, moving it to the next level. Not just the current moment.
