UFC Fight Night 29 on Oct. 9th in Barueri

http://sportv.globo.com/site/combate...a-proximo.html

Quote:
The city of Barueri, state of São Paulo, is close to being announced as host of the UFC to be held on October 9. The turn is the Gymnasium Multisport José Corrêa, which was recently visited by the organization and has capacity for 5000 people. The information was confirmed by Combate.com during the UFC Rio 4 with sources close to the Ultimate.

Jaragua do Sul-SC, who was also strong in the race, just getting a little behind, mainly because he has already received an event in May this year. On occasion, Vitor Belfort knocked out American Luke Rockhold in the main.

If confirmed the announcement will be the third time the UFC will land in the state of São Paulo. The former were in the capital: the first in October 1998, the first event in the history of the organization in Brazil, with the classic victory over Vitor Belfort Wanderlei Silva and the second in January this year, again with Belfort winning in duel against England's Michael Bisping.

CARD EVENT (so far)
Demian Maia x Jake Shields *
Erick Silva x Dong Hyun Kim *
Thiago Silva x * Matt Hamill
Hope UFC book decent fights.
Recent Brazil events (August, September) are very weak.

According to Marshall Zelaznik:

- One of the interesting things about these tickets are sold is that there are only certain areas of the arena where people have reserved seating. What this means is that people are free to move and switch places. If you notice, in the bleachers above, there was an empty place, seemed too crowded. Part of it is that not exhausted (tickets), we got very close to running out, but the way these tickets are sold, people can move and sit elsewhere, and we think people may have been sitting in places they should not, and that created some flare. As the fighting continued, these spaces have decreased, so I think people went back to their seats. People have a lot of freedom to move around the arena. But it was a successful event a massive success for us, we are happy with all aspects of the evening. This arena is our home and come back here in Rio - Zelaznik said.

God damn. Is brazil so unorganized they can't even have assigned seats in arenas??? No wonder their infrastructure in that country is 50 years behind the United states.

I believe that.

My brother tried to get tickets for the cheaper upper seats (which I guess where the empty spaces were) and they were all sold out
