i dont think there is anyone doing it on a regular basis. usually its when you first start really pushing your limits on something new.
there was a time that wrestling for 2 minutes would cause me to gasp for air and get nauseous. was that idiotic training or was that pushing myself to get better? if i would have quit when it didnt feel good, would i have improved?
there are varying degrees to this obviously, if you are doing something over and over again and wanting to puke and/or puking there is something wrong. however, a few occasions of really pushing yourself, no i dont think that makes you an idiot. and again, it really seems to be when people first are introduced to something new.
My issues are with CFs glorification of puking. I have seen guys puke, grab a swig of their paleo bacon juice or whatever they drink, and then go rep more shitty cleans... This was actually during a "street perfomrance" when the box was just starting out and trying to attract users. Not my idea of smart training, but I guess its a popular one so I should just shut up, then...

who is talking about crossfit? puking is not specific to crossfit. its like there cant be a discussion without someone pointing to cf as the culprit. yea, they do some stupid shit. does every gym do it? no. let them live their little paleo lives. i get that everyone hear hates crossfit, they do nothing productive etc etc etc, but you really think they are all "glorifying puking"? no they are not.
puking isnt the end of the world and it doesnt make you an idiot. if you get winded and puke, then recover and feel better, by all means go back to your workout. if it is a continuing problem you need to adjust something.
if everyone who has puked is an idiot then there are a shitload of idiot powerlifters.

I'm worried about overtraining.
Someone posted that puking clown IMG and commented about puking, I'm in the Gym Idiots thread so I figured CF had to have been part of this general discussion...

I am also not sure what good it would do to do 50 burpees + 200 pull ups + 50 air squats etc. How do they get to those numbers?
I assume it's not randomly picked?
