They don't want to give big money to a fighter that stinks the joint out over and over

The problem for Fitch is he is a good fighter who can beat (decision) damn near anyone in his weight class. He has name recognition and the distinction of being a former UFC Title Challenger.

The other problem is he is not fan friendly at all. Anytime you go out and watch a card he is on, watch people who know his name tell everyone to go get more beer or buffalo wings because it will be a boring fight.

Dude,my thoughts exactly.

I think I get what Bellator is doing, they know more fighters are getting released and don't want to reach their spending limit before they know what is available. After the dust settles they'll figure out who they want and who they can afford while getting the most money back their investment.

Did a search, couldn't find anything here. If wrong, just lock/delete

Oh, they want him badly. But they don't want to appear as if they are the landing spot for UFC seconds worse (at this point anyway).

Just give it time and they will succumb to the UFC rejects and such will start their demise.

I mostly agree with this. That's a huge win for Askren just sitting out there.
