It shows how top HWs from their respective eras fared against fellow top HWs.

You could have put a guy like Mark Kerr in the list too. He was ranked #1 when Fujita beat him.....but it is hard to tell when some of these guys' eras ended.

For example....beating Cro Cop in 2011 was not the same as doing it in 2002-2006

thank you. i thought of that too but I had to make some boundaries this thing took me a lot of time as it is. I hold the pioneers in a special place anyway, that is why I left them out of this list they are untouchable already and they belong to another list. that is the list of great pioneers of MMA. I'm aware that I probably didn't inculde all the fighters I should have, but I think the list gives some perspective on the top of the HW division in the era.
