Datsusara LBP Wear and Tear
I was wondering if anyone had any negative/positive experiences with their DSGear bag. I've owned mine for less than a year and it's going through some rough times.

Missing zipper pulls are a huge problem with this bag for me.
I'm just curious if anyone has had problems with their bag. I was a big fan of it, however it has started falling apart more and more and I believe I don't abuse the bag, but I am a student and use it for things other than training. I was hoping at 85 dollars I would be able to have a full-purpose bag, suitable for every scenario. It was light, breathable and well-designed but it just started falling apart on me. That in addition to the lack of easy access for the laptop caused me to start searching for alternatives. I'm interested in the BP, but I'm actually concerned if it would be able to hold a longboard in that external strap pocket it has.
If anyone had a suggestion for a bag that could carry a gi, towel, laptop, (maybe a notebook or two) AND possibly had straps for a longboard/skateboard I would be forever indebted to you.

Have had my BP for nearly two years now, don't use it daily, but 4-5 days a week, and I tend to pack it pretty full. Definitely not taking it easy on it. They have had issues with production runs on occasion, but they're pretty good about taking care of those issues.

My DS bags have held perfectly for over a year now. They are in almost everyday-use, for gear, and random schtuff I have to lug around.

I use the battlepack for a a year and a half now. Aside from a few loose thread at the seems, no visible wear and tear.

Hi all. First please never hesitate to contact me when you have problem with your gear. I have a 3 year warranty on the bags and I get replacements out fast. I'm really sorry about the problems some of you had with your backpacks, most of these are known issues I have been working to correct with each version. The gear bags like the PGB, and LGB seem to hold up very well but the BP and LBP units have been inconstant as you can see where some people have them 3+ years with no issues and others break very fast.
The latest units have many small improvements from all YKK zippers to better zip pulls and locked down seams so the thread never get caught in the zippers. But the biggest thing is I upgraded the hemp we use. The new hemp is a heavy duty 19oz long fiber weave, it's basically the best I could find and although it costs me 3X as much to use it's worth it because the new bags should be damn near bullet proof.
Right now I have two offers for problem bags.
1. I'll refund your purchase in full.
2. I'll send you a replacement from the new batch and only ask you to pay shipping since the new bags are about $20 more than the old ones (and honestly if you think that's not fair I'll just send it out free, I don't want anyone unhappy).
So there it is guys, there is a much longer story of my struggles trying to produce a high quality backpack that doesn't have issues but I won't bore you with that here. Thank you all for the support.

Wow, that's really nice of you! I'll email you, I couldn't find any information regarding the bag's warranty and often times I've been SOL when I lost something like a proof of purchase so I didn't really want to lose out on something like a warranty claim.
