Is the difference only in the foam?

There are similar, but here are some differences

the BGL6 have slightly thicker foam, the BGL1 have exactly the same foam as the BGE1, triple layer foam, but it's likely that are similar desnity. They both have padding that's on the firmer side.

The BGL1 glove's thumb is stitched on with fabric

the BGL6 have a webbed thumb more like a traditional training glove.

There price only differs by a few dollars, so it's likely their pretty similar.
