reading up a little on THQ and noticed that the main guy behind the relationship between the WWE and THQ is co founder Jack Friedman, who also co-founded LJN which produced the WWE video games before and he then co-founded Jakks Pacific which did the WWE action figures from 1996-2009
Vince really must have liked this guy - died in 2010

"After 17 minutes of talking, at least, between Hardcore Kid and young Tedward Hart, we have the match, finally. The Hardcore Kid, versus the gayest thing since Gay came to Gay Town, Lit and Deranged. Wow. Don't ask me which is which, but both are sporting pants by Tedward Hart."
"Oven Mitt #2 speculating on whether a dive would be a wise maneuver, here we see, he's still thinking about it, his brain cannot process the information. Oh my god! Risking limb and life, and life and limb to show the fans that he too, can do flippity flips."
"Oh, what the fuck was that??? It was good on paper. No. Oh please, do it one more time, the fans didn't see it quite right, and neither did our camera guy. Oh Hardcore Kid just grabs him in mid air and Spinebusters him onto the spine of Oven Mitt #2."
Keep in mind El Jefe is Hardcore Kid's manager:
"Oven Mitts #1 and 2 thrown onto Hardcore Kid by Tedward Hart, and now El Jefe inexplicably, (laughing uncontrollably) El Jefe reviving Rick Knox to make the count, in a, in a blasphemous, that is horrible managerial skills, that is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life!"
"Teddy Hart reprimanding Oven Mitt #1 and 2, this is without a doubt the worst match ever to take place in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and the match continues! This match may not make the DVD, but it HAS to be seen to be believed! Double! Double whammy! I wish I had a double espresso so I could overdose on all this fun we're having!"
"And thankfully it's over! Thank you for ruining our show!"
Oh man that was awesome, those guys need to do commentary 24/7.
|
Excalibur does commentary for all the PWG shows, and he's one of the most entertaining guys in the business doing it. He makes his jokes, but not to a Michael Cole or Lawler extent where they bury guys. He's just a joy to listen to, especially if someone just as good is on there with him. He was a fucking riot during the "Legends Battle Royale" that they did two years ago. Daniel Bryan and Davey Richards did commentary a couple of times together as Lloyd Boner and Good Ole DR respectively where they played the roles of old time vets. It was quite comical.

Yukes did all the developing. So actually making the game. THQ just told Yukes what WWE wanted in the game and what they wanted in the game. A lot of the problems stemmed from the fact that everybody at Yukes spoke Japanese and everybody at THQ spoke English.

Ah, it's probably more likely that whoever did that list has never seen those belts i mentioned. World Championship belts that looked classy & actually more like belts and less like gaudy, over-sized gut protectors. Take a look:
Classy...
Gaudy...
Classy again...
And gaudy again...
See what im saying?

I guess belt talk is better than olympic wrestling talk. Whatever. I'm going to throw a dip in and watch Keri Russel be fucking hot.

All Japan's Triple Crown title have three small belts.
I like them for their historic worth, but Big Gold is pro-wrestling.

Yukes was the dev team while THQ was a publisher.
