i can't believe that the fighter pay for tournament fighters was better when they were on MTV2.

So they reduced the tourney payouts after moving to Spike, rather than maintained or increased them? That makes sense.
If this report is accurate, I have a problem with that, Hawn getting so much less than the average tourney fight, and Patricio getting less. If you win a tournament, you should get rewarded by receiving more than average tourney pay. That only makes sense. If you get 100 total, you should at least get 17/17 per fight then, like Chandler got.
Maybe this is the reasoning behind Bellator leaving many of their talents on their roster behind this season, rather than creating stars or fun rematches. They're holding out until the tourney payouts get bumped back up or even increased. One would think Bellator would want to invest more in their initial success. Spend less on all the ads, more on the fighters. People may be slower to find out about the product, but once they do more apt to stay. I know that if they would have put a show this week of: Dantas-Galvao, Khalidov-Santana, Rogers-Cooper, Vasilevsky-Spang, Parlo-Ward; fans wouldn't turn that off and would come back to see what's next.

I would imagine the finals will be the bulk of the money, instead of paying 10/10, 15/15, 25/25 they go cheaper in the first round, little more second and then a big pay for the finals, reward the two best guys with big base pay and the winner a big win bonus.
Problem is depending on where they events take place we might not see the second round or finals payouts to see how it breaks down.

Well, they'd still be reducing the payouts that way. The champion would get the same, but everybody else gets less than formerly.

Their undercard is mostly just local guys used to sell tickets in the area and to save money because the undercard is not sold commercially. Nothing wrong with that, they are a growing promotion, Strikeforce did that too. In that sense, 700/700 is not so unbelievable.
