waikru my friend, few cats who make the commute from marlborough to train post work. Hell one of my buddies travels from brighton to marlborough every day for work. Take the pike to newton or allston exit. Easy drive even with traffic.

Hey man, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Massachusetts Submission Academy is no more. It was pretty damn elite at one time, though. I currently train with a few former MSA members, and they're all extremely good.
Mass BJJ is really good. I've trained there, and the BJJ instructors (Nate Ryan, Pat Barbieri) are excellent. They do not focus on wrestling much, though, and there are very few no gi classes.
Waikru, Sityodtong, etc, are good choices. Boston BJJ is also a very good place.

I am hoping for a gym on my commute. I am hoping for a gym that has at least one day of wrestling, since its a big part of MMA. I know Jiujitsu is the most important part of MMA but 4 days of Gi-Jiujitsu isnt going to be too balanced.
I have heard Mass BJJ is a great school but if they dont focus on wrestling that much then I think it would be a bad choice for my style.
I am hoping for:
1 session of Wrestling,
2 sessions of Jiujitsu(Gi),
2 sessions of Striking,
and 2 sessions of MMA (ground and pound, strike/takedown, no-Gi Jiujitsu)
per week.
I just looked at the Mass BJJ schedule and they do not have any wrestling sessions.
Looks like Wai Kru seems to fit the blueprint here. They also have Judo I guess.

Im not sure how far it is from you but Xcel BJJ in New Bedford is something to check out. Marcio Silva is very cool and is a very good instructor.

I've always just done jiu jitsu and judo, but I've always heard awesome things for Sidyontang in terms of striking.
For more MMA oriented places there is Wai Kru and Redline (on Mass Ave in Cambridge). I don't really know much about either one. I swear Wai Kru was one of the sponsors of a jiu jitsu tournament I was in like 6 or 7 years ago. Wai Kru was getting some mixed reviews when it was new, but the last few years on here I've only seen good things written about it. I've never seen anyone mentioned Red Line so I don't know about it. It use to be called Boston kickboxing academy ( or maybe Boston Sanshou, can't quite remember) but then it went to MMA.
I might as well toss out points for Boston BJJ - I trained there for about 5 years and always loved it.

Wrestling happens every so often, bunch of guys who wrested in d1 colleges here. Judos on saturday with george, he helped train Kayla Harrison over the summer. Nothing but great things to say about the MT classes. Havent partaken in the JJ or MMA classes so cant comment on them, always packed and plently of training partners available

Is there a website for these reviews? or just word of mouth?
