There were three bands: Pearl Jam, Nirvana and RHCP were the closing act. It was a great concert but Pearl Jam stole the show.

I've always liked the Chilies since Magic Johnson and Sexy Mexican Maid.
Jealous. Pretty much some of my three fav bands as a teen at the time. Listening to blood sugar on my good old cassette tape driving

One of my favorite bands. My favorite album is Mother's Milk. There sound has changed at bit since John rejoined the band after One Hot Minute. I preferred the sound of Mother's Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magic. I still really like Californication and By the Way alot, but not quite the same. I was actually a big fan of Stadium Arcadium. I saw them live during that tour, and it was pretty awesome.

I actually really enjoy their old stuff when Hillel Slovak was the guitarist. They had a different sound back then as well, but a bit closer to MM and BSSM. Freaky Styly and Uplift Mofo Party Plan being the highlights of the Slovak era.

Been one of my favorite bands since I first got a Walkman back in the early 90s lol. Saw them live in 2000. It was an epic performance, of course. Frusciante's little sister went to the same high school as I, two years younger.

not a fan. they have a handful of songs that are good, but the majority of their music sounds derivative.

It was a great concert. I doubt more than 100 people in the crowd even knew who Pearl Jam was back then but they killed it. Nirvana's only known hit was Smells Like Teen Spirit at the time.
When Nirvana started the riff for SLTS, the crowd went absolutely berserk but they weren't really good live. They just put their heads down and played some kick ass music and then smashed the set when they were done.
RHCP's came out to father time and some girls dancing on stage with their titties out. I guess they were the new year.
Best concert ever for me.

They're pretty much shit in my opinion and just keep getting worse with age.
