The guy who sucker punched me was Colten Desjardins from Boyce Martial arts. The sad thing is he is bragging about how all of his training paid off, on their school's facebook (bma excellence)

He is an instructor there. How can someone with no honor teach others?

Sorry, I cannot congratulate you getting into the cage ill-prepared against an opponent that was a complete mis-match for you. You will just go down as someone who was there to pad their record.

When taking part in sporting competition you should aim to win. When taking part in a cage fight that fundamental is even more important as you are putting your health on the line.

Ditch whoever you are training with and find a competent coach, a coach who would not let you take a fight against a BJJ blue-belt and Muay Thai fighter when you have had only a few months training. You really should not be getting into the cage at this point unless it is against another complete novice. Good luck!

Ive never understood this MMA concept of touching gloves all the time. In boxing you only touch gloves before the bell when the ref brings you to the center and at the beginning of the last round, again before the bell.

As a boxer I was taught never to touch a guys hand. My coach doesnt even like me doing it in sparring too pick up the bad habit.

Anyways, shitty luck man.

Appreciate the post man- coming from a dude who is 25 and thinks he is too old to start. So much for that excuse.
