Yup,good choice. But I'd change Andrei to Nog 1.And I don't know about Hendo.Sure, the fight shows how fast things change in MMA.Maybe I'd press play, leave the room and after it's over come back to see a reaction. It's still painful to watch.

If we're going for education instead of just exciting fights slugfests.

Carlos Newton vs Kazushi Sakuraba - to show the noob what high level grappling looks like.

Gray Maynard vs Frankie Edgar 3 - to show the noob what happens when a fighter blows themself out trying to finish.

Fedor Emelianenko vs Tim Sylvia - to show the noob that speed always kills.

Wanderlei Silva vs Quinton "Rampage" Jackson 2 - to show the noob what it looks like when two fighters actually go out with the intent to finish with every strike.

Royce Gracie vs Dan Severn - for history, though that fight is terrible, but to show the noob that patience and skill can triumph over strength and size.

1. Saku v Newton-sheer grappling mastery. not to mention to show ground work can be fun to watch.
2. Saku v Royce 1-to show when the sport changed forever.
3. Saku v Igor-to show the ultimate display of heart and courage. fighting the top HW in the world after fighting MMAs greatest for 90 minutes in that same night.
4. Nog v Sapp-for the sheer fun of it.
5. Saku vs Galesic- for the holyshitness of that comeback.

too much Saku? meh no such thing. Never seen anyone exemplify all the positives of the sport more than him.

Fedor is a good choice, an all time great and possibly the greatest. I think Mirko v. Fedor is for a more sophisticated taste.

I would do these 5 if I was going Fedor;
1) Randleman: Action packed, while pulling off the miracle win. This is the kind of fight and finish that really hooks people.

2) Sylvia: Build up the Fedor hype a little bit with his absolute destruction of the recent UFC champion and the second former champ in a row.

3) Arlovski: Continued on the same theme.

4) Rogers: Another big man, with an exciting finish.

5) Hendo: Now that we have seen how amazing Fedor is, this shocking loss to show how chaotic MMA can be.

Keep in mind, this isn't necessarily supposed to be your five favorite fights. This is supposed an introduction to someone who isn't familiar with MMA to get them hooked.

1. carlos newton vs Kazushi Sakuraba - greatest grappling fight in mma. great fight to show a grappling noob, because its an exciting fight and you can explain all the moves to them

2. fedor emelianenko vs kazuyuki fujita - very entertaining fight that has a great come back via fedor.

3. igor vovchanchyn vs enson inoue - brutal fight that shows the wrecking machine that was ice cold igor and the warrior spirit of enson

4. royce gracie vs ken shamrock 1 - very important fight in mma history that pitted two of the first elite fighters against each other

5. kazushi sakuraba vs royce gracie - i know its long but it's one of the most important fights ever. it was a changing of the guard and big step in the evolution of mma. also the entrances and promos were awesome, and how at the end saku shakes all the gracies hands including helio
