First Look at the Posters for KICK-ASS 2

New posters for Kick-Ass 2 are about to get in our faces by getting up in the faces of the film’s characters. In the sequel, Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) has inspired a wave of superheroes led by Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey). When the group becomes the target of Red Mist’s (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) fury—now going by the name of “The Motherfucker”—only Hit-Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) can save them. The film also stars Clark Duke, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, Olga Kurkulina, and Nicolas Cage. Kick-Ass 2 opens June 28th.

So have we heard yet, how close this is going to follow the book? Because Part 2 is fairly dark and I know the majority of the book wouldn't make it into most movies.

KICK-ASS 2 Release Date Pushed Back to August 16, 2013



Universal Pictures has made some changes to its 2013 calendar, particularly where three different comic book adaptations are concerned. Robert Schwentke's R.I.P.D. will retain its July 19 release date, but will now be released in 3D. Baltasar Kormakur's 2 Guns will move two weeks earlier, from August 16 to August 2. Jeff Wadlow's Kick-Ass 2, finally, will move from June 28 to August 16. Kick-Ass 2's new release has it opening opposite Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters and The To-Do List.

Kick-Ass 2, finally, has Aaron Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse reprising their roles from 2010’s Kick-Ass. Based on the comic by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr., the sequel co-stars Morris Chestnut, John Leguizamo and Donald Faison. It is produced by Matthew Vaughn, Tarquin Pack, Adam Bohling, David Reid and Brad Pitt.

It's just pushed back for two months. No big deal IMO. Plus it's a smart move because June is going to be a bloodbath between all the other blockbuster movies coming out, not to mention everything will be swallowed up by Man of Steel.
