Most likely Fedor would have blitzed him ala Tim Sylvia and Overeem would have folded like a deck of cards.

Also it's strange how Herb let Reem take 14 unanswered shots from Big Foot but stopped Fedor/Hendo after Fedor rolled over to defend. yeah when he got up he was rocked but I doubt he woulda been KO'd. Early Herb! Too bad he couldn't save Reem tonight

Why because Overeem said so?
Some fans need to stop taking everything any fighter or promoter says as gospel. Throughout Fedor's tenure in Strikeforce, Coker attempted to book Overeem/Fedor several times. Each time, Alistair would claim that he re-injured his hand which was originally due to a street/bar fight in May of 2009 when he declined a fight with Brett Rogers. Meanwhile, if you looked at their records and the dates, you'll notice something odd:
Fedor:
vs. Brett Rogers, November 7, 2009 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, United States
vs. Fabricio Werdum, June 26, 2010 in San Jose, California, United States
(The Werdum fight was originally scheduled for April 17, 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, but Fedor had injured his hand in training)
Overeem:
vs. Tony Sylvester, October 17, 2009 in Amsterdam, Netherlands
vs. James Thompson, October 25, 2009 in Osaka, Osaka, Japan
vs. Kazuyuki Fujita, December 31, 2009 in Saitama, Saitama, Japan
vs. Brett Rogers, May 15, 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States
(Overeem only accepted the fight with Rogers after Fedor/Werdum had been scheduled for April)
Overeem could've easily canceled his fights with cans in 2009 and taken the fight with Fedor in November since he was well enough to fight after all. Furthermore, none of the locations where Overeem fought had an athletic commission or demanded drug testing. Missouri doesn't have a formal athletic commission, but rather an Office of Athletics, part of the Missouri Division of Professional Registration. They did not require testing. Strikeforce instead had independent testing.
When Overeem was finally forced to deal with an actual athletic commission in the NSAC, absurdity ensued when he ran away TWICE.

Maybe the Overeem tonight, not the one who failed the drug test.

I thought the same thing, but seeing that replay many times, Fedor face-planted. He recovered quickly, but no need to let Hendo's crazy power pound Fedor's head anymore. He lost that fight fair and square. His heart just wasn't in the game anymore.

He probably would have given Fedor a lot of respect unlike Bigfoot.

While I agree partially, I think Fedor should have been given a little bit more time. Yes it may have resulted in him being out but we are talking the GOAT here. Reem got all the time in the world, Fedor/Hendo was stopped at the first sign of trouble. Although it was years ago, he recovered from that giant Fujita hook after being rocked BADLY and ended the fight less than a minute later. Randleman suplex too.
I do agree Hendo flash KO'd him but he did manage to roll. May have defended, may not have. Was wobbly when he got up but maybe he would've kept his composure. Doesn't matter, Hendo beat him. Still though, sucks he was not given the chance like Alistair and many others

So are you saying all of his KO's in the past have been because he hasn't given respect to his opponents? He doesn't have a mediocre chin or cardio issues?

Strikeforce Fedor? It'd be a close match between SF Fedor and UFC Reem. Strikeforce Reem owns Strikeforce Fedor though.
