Temporary Solution For The "Page Not Found" Forum Error!!!

Since the forum is being migrated from sherdog.net to sherdog.com, the "page not found" error are popping up at every turns. The good news is, you can adjust a couple things from your end to avoid that error while the Admins are working hard to fix it:

1) Completely wipe your web browser's cache and browsing history (or simply switch to a new browser, such as from Chrome to Firefox or vice versa).

2) Log in the forum from http://forums.sherdog.com instead of www.sherdog.net from now on.

3) Don't forget to update any bookmarks you might have with the new urls.

Now you'll be able to see the pages that you haven't been able to, atleast temporarily! Then rinse and repeat Step 1 when the error message rear its ugly head again

However, I do know how to get the page to show when the error comes up. Basically sometimes when you click next page or go to the last page of a thread the forum uses a combination of the old style url and the new one. For example if this page had the error the url would be something like:

If you delete everything between "/forums/" and "showthread" so it looks like this:

It should work just fine.

Did you guys use bookmarks to get on Sherdog.com?

If so, delete those bookmarks, type the addy in google, access the site and create a new bookmark, and please let us know if it worked for you.

I didn't. I just typed sherdog.com, then just went forums.

I use chrome (thats were I'm logged in from), but also tried to just copy a ulr to Opera and Mozila just to look at a thread. Got the same thing. Page not found.

Thats what I had been doing - I've tried your suggestion and it appears to be working now. Its loading extremely slowly but definitely better than nothing. Thanks.

I', on chrome and can get to the forums but they are soooo slow and some threads just never appear. let's get this fixed!

This has been a non stop problem for me as well. I will try this solution but by the responses on this thread it seems to not be the best way to fix it.

Yup, that's the common remarks, slower but works properly, i imagine the loading issue will be fixed rather quickly.
