This is such sad news, r.i.p Tubagus Sakti.

I do not know if there were pre-existing medical conditions or not, but this illustrates just how serious this hobby we as fans follow really is. It truly is easier to watch combat sports from a distance and talk shit online about the participants than to actually participate.

And the damage these guys take in one fight, much less years in the gym and professional fights truly adds up, takes serious tolls on the participants and is the main reason I've lobbied for better fight pay, treatment, unionization, medical care etc. for so long.

These sports are tough, the impact it takes on the athletes health is deadly serious and it has life altering repercussions in many, if not all instances. The skill level and experience it takes to become good or even great is not acquired easily and once acquired have cost a heavy price to possess. Only the truly elite really make the huge money, but unfortunately all who dedicate themselves to these sports or even pursue their dream to try to be great will all pay the price for their participation one way or another.

If you're a fan of these combat sports you should want the best for those who make it possible. Even the jerks, the tomata' cans, bad guys and villains.

the look on the poor kid's face is he was collapsing was horrific. Poor kid rip.. This does seem to happen more often to the lighter weight classes.
