You can't have an opinion on something that is factual. This is factually a superfight. If you "have the opinion it is not", then you are just wrong. Did Frankie Edgar earn this fight at 145? Where is Frankie Edgar ranked at 145? Is he the #1 contender? Tell me please, how did Frankie Edgar earn this fight? He earned it because he was the best at 155 for years, with a body size that made people want to know how he would do against Aldo.

How many fans have asked to see Bendo vs Aldo? None that I have seen. When Frankie was the champ, everyone wanted to see Aldo vs Edgar, because Frankie looks like a Featherweight. His fights with Bendo were both extremely close, so most people still see him tied with Bendo as the #1 lightweight fighter in the world.

Frankie Edgar has never fought in the UFC at 145. He hasn't earned his title shot. He is getting it because the fants want it, and because it is "the best vs the best".

It is similar to Manny Pacquiao vs Mayweather. Manny Pacquiao lost his last 2 fights, but if he fought Mayweather, it would still be a superfight.

Ahhh I see! Great comparison by bringing up Pacman/Mayweather. I don't think I have been this excited for a UFC event in a long time!

Ben Henderson x 2 (0-2 arguably going 1-1)
Gray Maynard x 2 (1-0-1 arguably 1-1)
BJ Penn x 2 (2-0, arguably 1-1)

Tell me all of the guys in the division that you think would do that well against those guys...please, I will wait.

And he is 3-2-1 and you find that underwhelming? That is a ridiculous level of competition. Especially since you can make the argument that he is 4-1-1 and some people would agree.

Not the fact of previously having division dominance.

In all honesty a fight you really want to see like GSP vs Diaz could easily be a "superfight".

It's a superfight. If the roles were reversed, and the lighter fighter and the less impressive title run and he was moving up to face a dominant champ, it wouldn't be as much so, but Frankie coming down, i'm pretty excited for the fight. Throw in the fact, some people don't even think Frankie lost the fight(s) to Bendo.
