Jumabieke Tuerxun Pulled From RUFF Super Fight
http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2013/1/29...-ruff-contract
Jumabieke Tuerxun (14-0) has been pulled out of Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation (RUFF)'s "Super-Fight" on February 2. The promotion announced the news using social media outlets (translated by MMA-in-Asia), stating that Yuan Chun Bo will now be stepping in to face Irshaad Sayed.
Prior to the Feb 2 event though, officials behind RUFF had then reportedly asked them to sign long term deals as a new requirement to qualify for the Super-Fight.
This is where the problems arose, as fighters such as Bieke had previously been booked for the event and were training and operating on the assumption that he already had qualified for the prize. Instead, they needed to sign a new deal for their scheduled fight to continue, with the winner automatically getting locked in for 2 years, and the loser locked in for 1. This sudden change and a new long term contract requirement didn't seem to sit well with Bieke and his camp, and it led to him declining the offer, and subsequently being pulled off the card at the last minute.
These stipulations would undeniably upset many of the fighters involved, but that being said, there still aren't many Chinese fighters who would've declined to fight for such a huge prize money (roughly $150,000). In Bieke's case though, it seems like he and his management feel like there's something much better on the horizon for him.

i think that's probably the right move for jumabieke, and it's too bad it has to mess up the RUFF super fight. he shouldn't be in that kind of a contract with RUFF, and i like that he presumably has intentions to fight elsewhere, because there wouldn't be much more for him in RUFF after beating irshaad a third time.
i believe there were rumors of him being linked with bellator before, as well.

Agreed, why would he want to tie himself down to RUFF for 1-2 more years when you have Bellator or the UFC.
UFC would be the better fit because they are moving into China so he makes sense for them on a CHina card but even Bellator would be solid for him.
No point in getting tied down for more years when he is clearly on the verge of jumping to the next level.

absolutely. and i still feel that the UFC and bellator are a bit too big of a step for him at this point, but i'd still like to see him give them a shot, and there are a lot of other organizations that i think would be nice tests for him.
i love RUFF, but i don't like the sound of these contracts. i also don't want to see wang guan, wu chengjie, or the flyweights tied down to a contract like this. RUFF is great for developing mma in china, but the guys at the top of the divisions need to be challenged, and i think that would happen best outside of RUFF.
edit: and i should also say that i don't think irshaad sayed is a gimme fight for jumabieke, and would be a good test. having beaten irshaad twice already though, i think jumabieke would probably win again, and most importantly wouldn't really have any other challenges in RUFF.

i don't know how much a fighter with his reputation could make in ONE FC, but he would have made around $150,000 for winning this fight he pulled out of, and i doubt it would be close to that.
