I enjoyed this event, even though some of the fights were total mismatches. Nevertheless, I will support Lion and look forward to them putting on some better fights in the future.
It's just good to see some reasonably professional, live Muay Thai in the US. This was only Lion's first promotion, so I'm willing to cut them a little bit of slack for the matchmaking.
Would love it if we started seeing really high level MT fights being broadcast live from Vegas on a regular basis. Make it so.

Production value was pretty good on axs. I'm hoping they do more televised events
Personally it was hilarious to see jongsanan as the "translator" for yod as his English is terrible too. Hahaha

Ya I went to a seminar with him and Sakmongkol and god damn that was hard to understand. Sakmongkol didn't speak a kick of English but he kept trying lol

That was actually their 8th event (it was "Lion Fight 8"), although the first four or five events they threw were under the title "Battle in the Desert." Most of the previous events are available on GoFightLive.

Friday Night Fights is the longest running Muay Thai event in NYC (since 1997). We throw 12-15 shows annually. Victory is our new MMA show, first events are May 17th (NYC) and May 18 (Boston Armory).
