Protocol to heal Leaky Gut
Due to grain allergies, possibly amongst other things, I have developed leaky gut.
I know probiotics may be a constant in my life, but what other things can I do?
Also, Once leaky gut is fixed does it remain that way if there is no irritant introduced?
Any advice would be appreciated. One way I realized my gut might not be fixed was the return of acne when eating some fatty foods, although cutting out grains has helped my acne.

Glutamine, Slippery elm, spirulina and probiotics supposedly heals it. Grain allergies(celiac disease),candida over consumption of alcohol, poor diet and parasites can all cause Leaky Gut but if you know wholeheartedly what is causing it and eradicate the root problem you should be good.

Grain allergies, are you sure you're not confusing "leaky gut" with celiac disease? The latter is far more common, has almost the same symptoms, and is much easier to treat via verified medical knowledge on the condition.

You likely are having intolerance to other food b/c of the leaky gut or permeability. I check out Robb Wolf site and the GAPS diet/protocol. They specialize in digestion health.
I'd cut out all grains, dairy, and legumes for 30-60 days at least and see how you feel. Also, you might want to cut out coffee if you drink it at least for 30-60 days b/c its a known "cross-reactor" to gluten.
If you still are feeling not a 100% after cutting out all grains, dairy, and legumes for 30-60 days id also cut out Nightshades (*tomatoes/potatoes/peppers) and even all Nuts and Eggs. I wouldn't worry about doing this protocol until after you have been 100% grain/dairy/legume free for 30 days.
Supplement with 4,500-15,000 mg of Glutamine powder a day, take a quality probiotic, and look into taking a quality Turmeric/Curcumin supplement and possibly Ginger extract as well.
