The real deal with Boon gloves?

I have searched the reviews and what not but one person says they are great and have a lot of room, the next person says they can't wear wraps with them.

I like their style and would like to try them but have no interest in a glove that is so tight you can't wrap your hands.

For those who have them, or have experience with them, what is the verdict?

I suppose hand circumference is the best way to tell if they are big or small in the pocket...I have 9 1/2" hand cir.

I dunno if they have fixed the problem, but after their initial hype died down their quality became very inconsistent. They may have rectified the problem by now, but that is why there were so many mixed reviews.

They are usually tight when new and need to be broken in

I'm 6 foot 3 and have and I've got the 16oz Boons, there's plenty of room for wraps in them. They're huge compared to my 12oz Fairtex BGV1s.

We are the same size then. How do you like them? Any other gloves that you can compare them too?

I have 2 pairs of Boons. Both were snug at first but broke in very nicely. Extremely comfortable. Of course both pairs look completely different from each other. My Title bought Boons have nice smooth dark brown leather. My Kstar Boons have a much lighter rougher leather. Never understood that.

Now that I think about it....this is the first Boon post in awhile. I remember when I first joined up here.....there were posts and reviews like crazy, which is what led me to buy them in the first place. Ive noticed quite a few of the online stores dont have any in stock or are clearing out their stock.

Anybody know officially whats going on?

I really like them for sparring. I used to use them for bag and pad work, but now that I've used some 12oz for that I could never go back to puffy 16oz gloves. The wrist support in my boons is awesome. I thought I'd be taking a step down in that area coming off my old Hayabusas, but the wrist support on the busas doesn't compare (even with the whole double strap thing). Blocking kicks in the Boons is a little bit nicer due to the long, wide cuff on them.

As for the consistency, it's definitely a bit off as others have said. Another guy at my gym has them in brown (mine are white) and the shape of the glove is quite a bit different in regards to the contour over the knuckles and thumb. I got mine off mmahq.com when they had them for like $55, he got his from title.

Overall they are probably my favorite gloves, though I've only owned a few. I can't really compare them to the Fairtex because I use them for two different things. The Boon definitely beats out crappy store bought Everlast, and the Hayabusas.
