There's nobody really to bring in who already lost.
You're putting too much emphasis on this unfair health factor. What harm did Lima suffer in his squash match? Saunders got a squash match too. They practically got walks into the 2nd round.

Saunders vs. Amaya II
That works fine for me. I wish Amaya had not gotten a bid, especially on the same side of the bracket as Saunders, but what's done is done.
