I always think that if you have to ask instead of just going to the gym, believing in yourself, and doing it, you are too old or unable.

Think about the upper echelon of athletes in the sport. And think of how they're students of the game, learning everything and absorbing knowledge. It helps if you're a visual learner, but if you're not and you can't even strike, dude... you need to commit a lot of time to your game. And if you're here asking, well, we don't know you. You might be a fast learner, or a slow one. Go to a gym and find out if you can even hang for a few months of intense training before you decide to ask us for our opinion.

Obviously i would of done wrestling too if we bloody had it over here

But don't focus on BJJ and Wrestling if you have no striking. Work on your striking until you are comfortable and then work all areas.
Do you even compete? What's "good at MMA?" Or are you just a gym lover with no amateur fights that's giving advice? Haha. Many fighters in SoCal do everything, not just working on striking specifically, then get good at it all. The human brain is so much more capable of taking more than one thing at a time. Hence, your advice... is very questionable.

No its not.If its in your heart,do it. Look at Jon Jones,he made it to UFC in like 2 years..JDS made it to UFC in 3 years. If you are 24 now and train hard, you can expect good things within 3-5 years. Just dont fight right away.Train for a while.

Ppl saying yes dont know wtf they're talking about. It depends on YOU not an age unless of course you're starting in your late 30's. If you are a fast learner and dedicate your life to training then its far from too late. It took Jones 3 years to become a champ.

Bas Rutten always references how he started training when he was 28, so I'd say no 24 is not too old.

Lol, you realize by 28, he was already an extremely powerful kick boxer? He started doing grappling at 28... and he was still getting owned by the prime Shamrocks. There's a reason he didn't find stardom level success until much later in his career.

JDS started training at 21 in BJJ, let alone boxing which he started way before. How old is he now? Go check. And Jon Jones was always in wrestling in his youth and college years. So no, it's not exactly just two years because he had a huge base to bring into MMA with him.

I don't mind TS going for MMA training, but you guys need to get your facts straight.

Wrestling is not MMA..Thats like saying every wrestler can be good at MMA.If you look at JJ's 1st few fights,he has very poor technique

. JDS started at 21. ..He made it to UFC 4 years ago, when he was 24 I think..thats after 3 years of serious training.
