Daniel Geale

I know little to nothing about boxing but being Australian and hearing this fight advertised everywhere just how good is he? I googled some rankings which have him at 3 but I would like some opinions.

Very good, aggressive, pressure fighter. I just wish he'd fight somebody else instead of washed up Mundine.

I like him a lot, he's very good, top 3 in the middleweight division.

Good quality middleweight. Would like to see him build on the Sturm fight but I guess mundine will sell well in oz?

It will sell... Everyone in Australia buys Mundine fights to see him get knocked out. Plus he is the only blemish on the record of Geale

I have never seen that fight. Was SD a fair call?

Their careers have gone very differently since then. Geale would be a tough nights work for anyone.

I had it one rnd to Geale but it really was 50/50. there was a lot of controversy around mundine's cnr looking over judges shoulder's intimidating them between rnds. One of them even yelling out ‘racist’ when he gave a close rnd to Geale ( the irony being geale is aboriginal too) the IBF president mr peoples?! is flying in to aus for the fight to ensure no schneighans.

Mundine is now saying he may sit down or turn his back during the national anthem ( it is Australia day here tmrw or as mundine calls it invasion day) The crowd will already be against him ,if he does that could turn nasty.

I am a big fan of Geale but it rankles me how he never sits down on his shots, more concerned with turning off or springing out. Have a look at his feet, his on his tippy toes nearly all the time when he gets in exchanges, ready to change angle. He actually hits very hard when I’ve seen him on the heavy bag sitting in the pocket loading up hooks.

Sportsbet said will surpass the bank they had for green v mundine which I think was $1.2 mill off the top of my head, thus making it biggest fight in aus history from betting point of view.
