A few weeks ago I commented that there would be plenty of people, just like EVERY GSP fight, who confidently pick him to finish the Diaz fight easily even though he has proven for YEARS now that he will come in with a smart and safe gameplan and win via control without taking the necessary risks to finish.
When I said this, even some GSP fanatics claimed that very few people actually think he'll finish and that I was exaggerating the amount of fans that think that. This thread is more proof that I was right. I have nothing against GSP, and my money is on him to dominate this fight for 5 rounds. But it just boggles the mind that people seem so confident in him finishing. In most cases probably the same people who picked him to submit Condit, KO Koscheck and Shields, etc etc... I just don't get it.
I'm not saying he can't or won't finish a fight. But WHY would anyone try to act so certain that he will? Just hope?
