How are yall doing? Hope everyone is having a great year so far. I just received news this morning from my Surgeons' secretary regarding my coverage for surgery (heart dropped and almost shat myself when she said the date lol). This process took much long than expected but I was told that the State Fund cleared me for it. I asked when the next available date would be and they told me someone had just canceled for 'tomorrow'!...My heart dropped. It was something I really wanted, but so soon...it really caught me off guard! The next available date wouldn't be for another month so I called a few people and we decided it was overall best to do it now (tomorrow) so that I can begin my recovery process and get back to competing again. I know I don't have a huge fan-base but I'm posting this to share my current status with those who have been following me on the Sher. I'm hoping for a speedy recovery... I've been competing with a torn labrum for quite some time now and it's gotten progressively worse. Fighting and having your shoulder come out consistently isn't very fun after a while haha. In the meantime, here's my HL tape of what to hopefully expect more of when I'm 100% and ready to go.
Damn, just googled what you have and it doesn't sound all that pleasant, heheh. Glad to see you're able to get it taken care of quickly, though. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Sucks that you'll be out for a few months, but at least you should be a lot more healthy when you do return. Good luck with the recovery, and I for one an looking forward to your return. Definitely entertaining to watch.
Man its a shame to see a young guy like you out for any period of time, especially one as impressive a prospect as you, hope its a speedy recovery, all the best
good luck. going under the knife can be scary and a long recovery but for someone who has started off such a promising career taking care of the injury sooner than later is in your best interest both for your athletic career and life afterwards
Best of luck with everything!! I just had surgery (arthroscopic) on my right shoulder. I had a bunch of repair work including anterior labral, posterior labral and 7mm of bone shaved off. Overall, the operation was a success and I'm on my first week of physical therapy. Right shoulder strength and range of motion is at about 30% but that'll improve every day.
