This, plus sprawl your leg that's closest to the person's head out and bring your knee that's closest to the person's hips right up to their hips. Like an army crawl kind of position with the legs.

If they shrimp with straight arms I shoot a d'arce or anaconda.

If they shrimp with bent arms I move to the back by posting a hand in front of their hips and one behind their head like Brandon Mullens showed in rolled up. I underhook from behind them, secure a harness grip and work with my knee behind their head.

I am also a big fan of securing the bottom arm when they shrimp and moving to KOB.

All of the videos earlier are awesome options too.

Spin around to the far side, passing around the head, and take the back or establish control on the other side. I'm assuming he's getting an underhook when he turns into you to get up. If you have the underhook, he shouldn't be able to do that in the first place.

My thoughts exactly. If a guy is turning in strong, I'll often get my hand under his far arm, and then let him turn while transitioning into either kimura control or (more likely) the seatbelt for a back take.

But I'm probably biased, because my style is pretty much 'pass the guard, take the back'.

Also making the call for the spin to the back.

If you have it/can find it, Ryan Hall shows a little instruction on what he calls a 'Cobrinha style' spin to the back if they turn in. Pretty involves pushing the head and their top arm down, putting your knee closest to their head on the back of their neck and pivoting around it.
