shitty deal for hawn. Have to wonder what was in the fine print that they thought they could pull this off.

I wonder if a sponsor did this in the UFC if they would use the 50k or w/e the sponsor has to pay the UFC to cover the sponsor not paying the fighter.

That sponsor sounds like a huge asshole, really hope Hawn wins it.

Feel bad for Hawn, he gets a main event on Bellators biggest card in a debut on Spike for a title and he had so much trouble getting sponsors for this fight and when he does get a sponsor they try and screw him.

that's some bullshit. most days i just lurk here unless i see something ridiculous enough to post but this ticked me off and i wanted to add a post to this thread and make sure everybody sees this and we find out what actually happened.

guy puts his health on the line in the cage and then doesnt get a check for it? i assume a lot of fighters count on those checks and dont just fight for fun...

Let's make his sponsor fight Michael Chandler to see how impressive his performance looks.

It's honestly not even all Rick Hawn's fault that he lost. He faced a freak athlete with tremendous skill and one of the best wrestling pedigrees in the sport. I guarantee that he would have put up a better fight against just about anyone Bellator could have offered him.

Notice he's on their website as well.
I don't believe it's DFX, as the sponsor references a singular "store" and it sounds like Hawn said that he is wearing the product made by the sponsor on said the sponsor's website. Even if that doesn't mean he is wearing clothing made by the sponsor, I see no DFX logos on the shorts he is wearing for the promo picture on DFX's website. Though DFX's website having a picture of Hawn and no tab dedicated to him like it's other sponsored athletes is suspicious.
